This is the third in a series of Search Engine Optimization postings. If you missed last week’s SEO for WordPress Blogs, you can click the link or scroll down to the preview below. I spent a good part of this morning working my way through the dashboard of the “WordPress SEO” plugin that I have installed on this blog. I only had time for a quick scan previously and I wanted to be sure I had everything optimized fully before making an evaluation. Surprisingly, I found nothing about the Holy Grail of most SEO recommendations, Keywords. I’ll be trying to determine the reason for that over the weekend.
It has a lot of technical jargon. So, I’ll be printing out as much of it as I can to take with me this weekend. Once I’ve translated it all into English, which is the primary purpose of this blog, I’ll post again with the definitions. We’ll get through this process together. My main source of translation for this particular app will be the Yoast website where I found Joost de Valk’s tutorial on using his WordPress SEO plugin.
I haven’t installed different apps on the other blogs as yet. That platform building thing is taking up a lot of my time. Hopefully, I’ll get that done this next week and be able to give you a recommendation by the end of the month.
